Worms Workshops in May

Making a worm hotel at the Hortus Botanicus Amsterdam

May 3 you can make a worm composter out of buckets at the Hortus Botanicus. The worms are provided by Balkonton, as are the instructions that you will take home with you afterwards.

The workshop will be taught by the Hortus’ educator, and thus differs slightly from our own Whooping Worms Workshop.

Wiggle worms workshop with worm house in Sun Square

May 13 we will give a wiggle worm workshop during the green market at the Zonneplein in Amsterdam Noord.

During the wiggle worm workshop, you will make a mini worm house out of an empty glass jar in which to observe the worms. Then we will look for worms and learn to recognize them during the worm safari.

Organizing your own wiggle worm workshop

You can book the workshop, or download the worksheetsyourself and get started with a group of children. If you share the photos on social media, please tag Balkonton? Thanks!
