Insect hotels come in all shapes and sizes. One more beautiful than the other. Very useful for the overwintering insects. What makes our insect hotels unique is that our hotels are made from recycled 'waste' from Drenthe and are also produced in Drenthe. In short, super local :)
In addition, the insect hotel is made with the right equipment, so that nature is minimally burdened and the insects can optimally enjoy their winter rest.
The wood is treated with a vegetable oil, which makes it last longer. The material in which the insects hibernate is not glued with glue, but with clay. This is a natural product. All this ensures that after years of enjoying the insect hotel, the insect hotel can eventually be put on the compost heap. This way the compost worms can finally enjoy the hotel and the valuable worm manure can be returned to the garden. And so the circle is complete again :)
All this ensures that this hotel has not become a Budget stunner, but it has become a lot more sustainable and that is what we are going for!
