Basil 'Dark Opal' is an annual, dark purple basil with medium-sized leaves. You can pick the leaves for immediate use and to dry. Suitable for cultivation in pots. Require a warm and sheltered spot. once the stems harden, only the leaves can be used.
Pre-sow in pot trays, 4-8 seeds per pot. Fertilize the soil well; basil requires a lot of heat, light, nutrition and water. Plant pots of cluster of young plants 20 x 20 cm. Harvest: cut stems at approx. 10 cm above ground level. Can be harvested several times after regrowth.
