Caraway is a biennial crop and only forms a rosette of leaves in the first year. Flowering takes place in the second year after which the seeds can be harvested.
The young caraway leaves are used in raw vegetables and soup, the seeds in bread and sauerkraut, among other things.
Biennial crop and flowers only in 2nd year, then about 70 cm high. Sow in April-May in rows, 30 to 35 cm apart, thin out to 15 cm. Harvest the seeds, which fall out easily, when they turn brown.
