Use
Lava grit improves soil quality and is rich in trace elements, replenishing essential minerals in the soil. It is suitable for vegetable gardens, lawns, ornamental gardens, and potted plants.
Due to its coarse structure, lava grit is absorbed slowly: approximately 1/3 in the first year and 2/3 in the following years. This makes it ideal for planting trees and shrubs.
Lava grit can be used all year round and can be combined with worm compost and other products from Franky’s Flora.

Dosage Lava Grit per m²
Application | Dosage per m² |
|---|---|
Vegetable garden | 250–500 g |
Lawn | 250–500 g |
Ornamental garden | 100–200 g |
Potting soil | 10–50 g per 10 liters |

Application Tips
Frequency: Can be applied year-round. For fast results, an initial dose of 500 g per m² is recommended.
Horsetail control: Horsetail thrives in mineral-poor soils. Lava grit replenishes minerals and raises soil pH, reducing growth.
Combination: Can be perfectly combined with worm compost or mealworm compost.
