Lovage is also known as the 'maggi plant' and is used in soup, among other things. This herb is perennial and prefers a moist place. Lovage can take some shade with good matches.
Lovage is a perennial herb. Height up to over 2 meters. Sow from April to June, preferably in a damp spot. Later thin out of transplants at 60x60 cm planting distance.
When you grow Lovage for the spicy leaves, the plant is not suitable as a bee plant. If you let Lovage grow without harvesting, flowers will shoot into the plant that bees and butterflies find very attractive.
