Palm cabbage 'Nero di Toscana' is a typical Tuscan cabbage that is grown as kale. This palm cabbage is resistant to Tuscan winters, not to Dutch winters.
Provide good fertilization and i.v.m. clubroot, rotation is very important. Use if necessary. fleece cloth to protect whiteflies and caterpillars. Sow in March before and after planting out approx. 6 weeks at 65 x 50 cm. Harvest is from September to November.
TIP: also suitable as a baby leaf (sowing period: April-August)!
