At Franky’s Flora, everything is about healthy plants and a soil that truly works. Because worm compost is less suitable for cacti, we developed this Premium cactus substrate, specially designed for cacti and other succulents that need air, drainage and stability. No wet feet, no hassle — just a soil your plant will thrive in.
This substrate is made entirely from mineral components: lava, pumice and zeolite. This combination creates an open structure that allows excess water to drain quickly while still providing roots with enough air and support. Exactly what cacti need to grow strong and healthy.
Thanks to its coarse structure, plants remain firmly anchored, even larger or taller cacti. Ideal for pots, containers and permanent plantings, both indoors and outdoors.
Why I use (and sell) this substrate
Growing plants has been my hobby and passion since I was young. As a child, I was already busy with cuttings, mixing soils and discovering what worked and what didn’t. Over the years, I learned that the right soil is half the job — especially for cacti.
Because I run a worm farm, I naturally have plenty of worm compost available. But over time, I discovered that cacti simply perform better in a different type of soil. That’s why I’m truly happy with this substrate, specially developed for cacti.

These properties ensure an excellent balance of water and air, even over long periods.
