Clay Worm Tower – Make Your Own Worm Castings from Kitchen Waste | Sustainable Worm Composter
The clay worm tower makes it easy to produce your own fresh worm castings from vegetable, fruit and garden waste. With a total height of 41 cm, two levels of 16 cm each and a capacity of 2 × 8 liters, this eco-friendly tower provides enough space to compost efficiently and with minimal odor. Its 26-cm diameter makes it suitable for any garden, balcony or kitchen corner.
This worm tower transforms your organic waste into high-quality biological plant food while reducing your household waste at the same time.
Separating Waste with the Worm Tower – Fun, Educational and Sustainable
Waste separation is becoming increasingly important, and with this worm tower you can participate in a fun and educational way. Simply add your vegetable scraps, fruit waste, coffee grounds and other organic material, and the worms will transform it into rich worm castings. Children love watching the process step by step—composting becomes a fascinating little hobby.
Is It a Lot of Work? Absolutely Not
The system works very simply:
Add small amounts of kitchen waste
The worms do all the work
Once one tray is full, move to the next
The bottom tray can then be harvested easily
This worm tower has no drainage tap—intentionally. The clay naturally evaporates excess moisture through its pores.
Advantages:
All nutrients stay inside the worm castings
Moisture is automatically regulated
Why Choose Clay Instead of Plastic?
Two years ago (2022) we started phasing out plastic products. Today we offer more worm towers made of alternative materials.
This is our first clay worm tower, offered at a price comparable to plastic versions—so there’s no reason not to choose a sustainable alternative.
Clay breathes, regulates moisture, is strong, natural and looks beautiful.
Worms Multiply – Ideal for Gardening or Fishing
The population of compost worms expands naturally. This means you can occasionally remove some worms for your garden or for fishing, while your worm tower continues to operate.
Great Start: Compost Worm Mix
You can choose to order a compost worm mix with bedding. This professional breeding substrate is specially developed to give worms the perfect start.
FAQ – Clay Worm Tower
1. How does a worm tower work?
A clay worm tower has several levels where compost worms turn your kitchen waste into worm castings. Add organic waste at the top; once a tray is full, move to the next and harvest the bottom tray.
2. Why doesn’t this worm tower have a drainage tap?
Clay evaporates excess moisture naturally, so no foul-smelling leachate forms and all nutrients stay in the castings.
